About Cert Society
Cert Society is free practice for CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+. There are drill banks, timed exam simulators and hands-on PBQ labs, and every answer comes with an explanation of why it's right and why the others aren't. A good part of it opens with no signup. An email opens the rest, and that's free too. Nothing on this site asks for a card.
Who writes it
I'm K.D. Vaughn, an Air Force veteran who now works as a federal IT manager. I hold CompTIA A+ and Security+, PMP, ITIL, Certified ScrumMaster and AWS Cloud Practitioner.
I also wrote two study guides, A+ CITY and SECURITY+ AIRPORT. The books teach the material start to finish, and practice here tells you whether any of it stuck.
How the questions get made
Every question is written from scratch to test a concept on CompTIA's published objectives. None are copied from the objectives, from other study guides or from brain dumps. Dumps are leaked exam questions, and memorizing them teaches you nothing you can use at work.
AI drafts the questions and runs most of the checks. You should know that. Facts like exam codes, domain weights and retirement dates get checked against CompTIA's own pages, and the newer Security+ sets also went through separate review passes before they went up. I read every question in the Security+ Udemy course myself. If something still slipped through, the report link is how I find out.
Found a mistake?
Tell me. There's a report link under the explanations in the drills and exam simulators, and another in the footer, or you can email [email protected] directly. Send the question ID if you have it. I'll check it against the source, and if it's wrong, it gets fixed.
The fine print
Cert Society is an independent study resource, with no affiliation to CompTIA and no authorization or endorsement from it. CompTIA, A+, Network+ and Security+ are trademarks of CompTIA, Inc. Practicing here builds readiness, but it can't promise you a pass.
